Romeo and Juliet notes

  • Sunday morning
  • Sampson and Gregory are having a chat and are walking down the street
  • Sampson and Gregory see two servants from the house of the Montigue’s
  • The Capulet’s and the Montigue’s  
  • The capulet’s and the Montigue’s provoke each other to have a fight
  • They have a small fight/quarrel
  • The prince walks in and says if the Montigue’s walk on his street then he will kill them
  • The old Montigue talks to Benvolio    
  • They start discussing Romeo
  • The montigue says that he is depressed                
  • Benvolio and Romeo are having a chat about having wives/girlfriends
  • Romeo was upset
  • Juliet wants to marry Romeo
  • Juliet’s parents don’t want her to
  • The nurse then tries to persuade her not to marry Romeo
