William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare, in the play of Romeo and Juliet, uses a metaphor to describe Romeo. ‘But he that hath the steerage course, direct by sail! On lusty gentlemen’. This is a useful metaphor, because Romeo describes himself as a ship. In addition to that, he thinks that god controls him. Romeo thinks that god steers him the wrong and right ways. This implicates that he can do wrong things and he can do right things. Romeo is getting steered the right way, by wanting to stay and be with Juliet. Romeo is also being steered the wrong way by taking the extacy to make him feel better.
